I wanted to post the annual holiday card which was sent out by the main AIA office in Boston. This year's image should appeal to many of you, as it portrays a section of the wall paintings from the Tomb of Sennedjem, a 19th Dynasty worker's village tomb in Deir El-Medina (Thebes, Egypt). The picture shows Sennedjem and his wife in the fields sowing and tilling, and incidentally, the 19th Dynasty dates from ca. 1297-1185 BCE).
An interesting addition to the inside message this year is the inclusion of a recipe for Egyptian Tiger Nut Sweets which comes from pottery sherds discovered in Egypt from around 1600 BCE.
